Despite a recent heatwave, a Senior Climatologist with Environment Canada says Huron County experienced a cooler than normal Spring.
David Phillips says frosty overnights were not uncommon between March, April, and May along Ontario’s West Coast — with the latter month showing much more schizophrenic conditions.
Phillips calls the season a “pandemic kind of Spring,” with cooler conditions which kept people indoors.
Following a cooler March and April, the end of May brought 2020’s first Heat Warning to Huron County, with daytime highs reaching 29 Degrees Celsius.
Phillips tells Country 104.9 News more warm days are expected before the end of Spring.
