The Grey Bruce Health Unit is reporting the area's first confirmed case of COVID-19 in nearly a week.
According to the Health Unit's daily update an Owen Sound resident tested positive Thursday. It's the first new case in Grey Bruce since last Saturday and only the second known positive since May 9.
There are seven active known COVID-19 cases in the region. Eighty-five people who previously tested positive for the virus over the course of the pandemic are considered recovered.
No one is currently hospitalized. There have been zero deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Grey Bruce.
