Are you a student in need of a job this summer?
The Federal government may be able to point you in the right direction.
Today Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said more than 45,000 jobs are available currently for young people.
“If you or someone you know is interested, go to jobbank.ca to apply,” he said.
Trudeau also urged employers to take advantage of the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy which covers up to 75 percent of an employees pay.
Trudeau expects demand on the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit for workers will decrease as the economy reopens.
More discussion on this will occur, but Trudeau says the government needs to look carefully at how they end and modify certain aid programs.
We’re focused on making sure everyone has the support they need to pull through. And today, I’m giving an update on the work we’re doing to help business owners and workers across the country. Tune in now for the latest: https://t.co/6rAnhQ6R3y
