Meaford is going to start requiring residents to use garbage bag tags again if they want their trash picked up.
The Municipality says as of June 1 bag tags will be required again on all waste bags put out for curbside pickup.
Meaford had been allowing residents to put out one untagged bag per week since March 30 as part of the COVID-19 changes to service.
Council decided at its meeting on Monday it was time to reinstate regular use of bag tag as Meaford moves towards recovery.
“We ask everyone to keep following our guidelines for garbage pickup,” a statement from the municipality explains. “Residents can put out a maximum of three tagged bags weighing under 40 pounds each, and they must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m.”
