West Grey police have arrested and charged a 35 year old man of no fixed address with attempted murder, intimidation and assaulting a police officer.
Police say on Sunday (May 24) they started an investigation after a 33 year old man was allegedly stabbed during an altercation in a parking lot on Garafraxa Street South in Durham.
The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police were able to identify a suspect but not able to locate him.
That evening officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspect in his vehicle and found him hiding in the back seat.
He was held for bail court and remanded into custody.
West Grey police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call them
