Charges have been laid after a police chase in Orillia.
Saturday afternoon, police were called about the well-being of a man who was believed to be in the Orillia area.
Police located the man in his vehicle, but when officers approached, he fled.
Officers did not pursue the vehicle; however, the OPP Aviation Unit Helicopter (CFOPP) was dispatched to help locate the vehicle, which was eventually stopped with a spike belt on highway 400.
A 44 year old Severn Township man was arrested on charges of dangerous and impaired driving, as well as flight from police.
