Owen Sound police have made three arrests in a fentanyl trafficking investigation.
Police say on Tuesday (May 19) just before to 5 p.m. the Drug Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigations Branch arrested three men as they arrived in a vehicle at an east side motel.
Police say they found highly toxic purple Fentanyl with a street value of $2,000 as well as more than 100 grams of Cannabis and over $500 cash.
Each of the three men were charged with possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.
Two men were additionally charged with possession of more than 30 grams of Cannabis.
One was further charged with failing to comply with conditions of his judicial release based on previous drug trafficking charges that are still before the court.
Police did not name the three accused men, but say they were held in police custody pending bail hearings.
