Saugeen Shores police made an impaired driving by drug arrest after a report that a man appeared to be unconscious at the wheel.
Police say at about 5 Tuesday evening, (May 19) officers were called to a
parking lot in Southampton, but the man left before they got there.
Police say an officer on patrol spotted the vehicle being driven erratically on High
Street in Southampton.
They stopped the vehicle on Grey Street and the officer spoke to the driver who they say showed signs of being impaired by a drug.
Police say they located a small amount of suspected fentanyl in the
driver’s possession.
A 24 year old Bruce County man faces impaired driving charges, drug possession and a charge of disobeying a court order.
He was released with a court date.
