It is not business as usual in Wasaga Beach this long weekend.
That’s the message from Huronia West OPP.
Detachment Commander, Inspector Phil Browne, says in a news release, that “We value and appreciate the residents and seasonal visitors that spend time in Wasaga Beach. During this Victoria Day long weekend, our officers will be conducting education and enforcement of the Emergency Measures and Civil Protection Act in addition to maintaining a focus on traffic and community safety.
Additional OPP resources this weekend will be carefully monitoring roadways, waterways and trail systems in the Town of Wasaga Beach, Township of Springwater and Township of Clearview.
The Ontario Parks website states all provincial parks that didn’t open this past Monday with open today. Recreational activities will be limited to walking, hiking, biking and bird watching.
No amenities are open. And physical distancing must still be practiced.
