Wellington County OPP say they continue to get complaints about a man impersonating a police officer.
The suspect is asking people to prove their “essential worker” status.
April 14th, a motorist was stopped and provided personal information requested of them, the suspect returned to his vehicle and left the scene.
The suspect was wearing a police type vest with the word “POLICE” in yellow-orange coloured letters on the front but not the back, and was driving a black four-door sedan with a blue strobe light on the dash and a small aerial antenna on the trunk.
A composite sketch of the suspect has been released along with a description.
He described as male, Caucasian, 30 – 40 years old, short dark hair in a brush cut, some scruff/unshaven facial hair.
