
Starting today, 500 provincial parks and conservation reserves will be reopening for “day-use” only.
Campgrounds and beaches will continue to be off-limits for now.
That will NOT include conservation areas in Ontario, such as Credit Valley Conservation.
That means places like Island Lake will remain closed until further notice while CVC initiates a planned, phased reopening of most of its trails.
Some of those preparations include getting operations across the system ready for safe social distancing, and new signage.
