The County of Dufferin together with the Ministry of Education is providing access to licensed child care at no cost during the pandemic to frontline workers.
The list of workers eligible for emergency child care is issued by the Ministry and includes health care workers, police, fire and paramedics, truck drivers, and others.
The County Children’s Services Division is the only one offering emergency child care in the designated emergency child care centres that are approved by the county.
Emergency Child Care is currently only available to families, who live and/or work in the County of Dufferin, that have no other alternatives, and who are listed on the Government of
Ontario’s Workers Eligible for Emergency Child Care.
