Starting today, the temperature is going to gradually drop and flurries return to the forecast.
A cold front is moving into the area and hanging out for a few days, leaving us with chilly weather, that’s well-below seasonal.
Forecasters say a polar vortex has been sitting over the North Pole for much of winter and has helped contain the Arctic air to keep conditions relatively mild across Canada.
Now, that vortex is starting to break down and a large chunk will fall onto eastern Canada.
Today’s high will be 6, only plus 2 tomorrow.
The normal high for this time of year is 17 degrees Celsius.
According to Environment Canada, we’ll remain in the single digits with a chance of flurries until at least Monday.
