A shoplifting case turned into driving charges, after an incident at a Wingham department store.
According to reports, police were called to a shop on Josephine Street, to deal with a suspected shoplifter.
After speaking with the suspect, police say she drove away while officers were completing some “initial checks.”
She later turned herself into police, after officers say they made contact with her.
A 23 year old Mildmay woman is facing charges for theft and possession of stolen property, along with using unauthorized licence plates, and driving while suspended.
