A fuel spill has been cleaned up in Henshaw Lake in Port Carling.
On April 9th the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) advised the public about a diesel fuel spill into the lake, but they now report it’s been remediated.
Associated drinking water precautions have also been lifted.
The health unit says water samples collected by the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), which monitored the clean-up, have shown that the spill was successfully cleaned up.
