The United Way of Perth-Huron is investing in the mental health of essential workers during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Fundraising has begun for a new counselling program for medical, retail, and services workers deemed essential in the two counties.
United Way Executive Director Ryan Erb says the organization is looking to fill gaps in the system, to make sure all frontline workers and their families get the help they need, free of charge.
According to Erb, the program applies to anyone currently working.
Erb says the initial fundraising goal is $5 thousand, but the United Way of Perth-Huron is hoping to raise more.
The United Way of Perth-Huron has set up a link through their website, where you can donate to support the mental health of essential workers.
