Police have arrested one person after a dispute in Tara.
OPP say at 9 Thursday night (April 30) they received a report of a dispute at a residence along John Street in Tara.
Officers arrived and learned that an assault had taken place. The victim reported minor injuries to police.
According to OPP, the accused was found at his residence, but refused to cooperate with police.
Members of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and an OPP Canine Unit attended the scene to help South Bruce OPP.
At about 3:30 this morning (May 1) OPP ERT members entered the residence and arrested the man without incident.
A 36 year old Arran-Elderslie man is charged with Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for May 1, 2020.
