South Bruce OPP are sending out a fraud warning after a report from a Huron-Kinloss resident who was scammed out of $7,000.
Police say it was a Romance Scam, which typically starts online through social media or an online dating site.
They warn the conversations quickly become romantic as the scammer works to gain your trust. OPP say, before long, they are asking for money or personal information.
Police say fraud is a multi-million dollar enterprise that will only end when they stop making money.
