West Grey Police have charged two boys after an assault.
Police say at about 3 Monday afternoon (Apr 27) a male was walking on Garafraxa St in Durham when he was confronted by two boys who attacked the him using a number of a weapons.
The victim's injuries were so extensive, police say he was eventually airlifted to a London hospital with head injuries.
Police arrested both boys at the scene. They're charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with a youth sentence.
