Barrie Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who is wanted for the theft of a van.
Police were called to a business located on Ferndale Drive North on March 26, after the owner discovered that one of company vans had been stolen from the Rona parking lot on Mapleview Drive West.
Police say the following day, the van was used in a theft of gas from a service station located on Commerce Park in Innisfil and was found abandoned behind Kozlov Mall a few days later.
The van, which is described as a black 2000 Ford Econoline, was fully decaled with the company’s Plumbtec logo on it and had been parked in the northwest portion of the Rona parking lot for advertising purposes for only a couple of days before it was stolen.
The suspect’s image was caught on surveillance video.
He is described as:
- white man
- 25-35 years old
- full brown beard with moustache
He was wearing a dark-coloured work jacket with a hood, dark jeans and light-coloured work boots.
