Another major annual summer event in the area has been put off this year.
The Mount Forest Fireworks Festival has cancelled its event that was planned for this July. The 20th anniversary of the festival will be postponed until 2021.
The Festival Committee says it's been monitoring COVID-19 developments over the last month and remain hopeful the festival would be able to go ahead this year.
“Our priority however is to encourage the ongoing recovery efforts due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic and ensure that our guests, vendors, entertainers, volunteers and committee members are safe and healthy so we may continue putting on our great festival for years to come,” a release from the committee explains.
