There are 15 new Covid-19 cases being reported in Simcoe Muskoka today bringing the regional count to 233 cases.
Seven cases have recovered since yesterday bringing total recoveries here to 116.
There are no new deaths to report. Total deaths in the region are still at 15.
There are currently three outbreaks in area long term care (LTC) facilities. They are Bradford Valley Community Care, Woods Park Centre and I.O.O.F. (Odd Fellows and Rebekah Home).
There are three new cases identified at Bradford Valley Community Care, bringing the total there to 43 cases.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit says local cases are increasing and this is expected to continue over the next days and weeks due to the virus predominantly spreading person to person in the community.
