In effort to prevent people coming into town to fish and maintain social distancing measures, Blue Mountains says it is going to start closing public amenities along the Beaver River.
Director of Community Services, Ryan Gibbons, said during a virtual meeting yesterday, “There will be a significant number of people coming to the area to participate in the fishing season this coming weekend.”
As a result, he says the properties are being closed until May 5 and the OPP will make sure the closure is enforced.
Signs will be also be posted in the area.
