Today’s the day you can start applying online for Covid-19 relief on your Barrie Water and Wastewater bills.
If you are a Barrie resident and have suffered financial hardship due to the virus, you can apply to eliminate the fixed charge for water and wastewater on your next bi-monthly bill.
You’ll have to complete a Residential Water and Wastewater Covid-19 Pandemic Relief Request Form at the City’s website.
Residents are encouraged to apply soon, as there’s limited funding for the program.
Landlords are expected to pass the water bill relief on to tenants if water charges are included in their rent.
