A Barrie family has been left temporarily homeless after a weekend fire.
It broke out on Saturday morning on Noam Road in the Bayfield/Cundles area of the north end, causing approximately $50,000-$100,000 in damages.
Officials say the cause of the fire was a portion of drapery on a power cord.
According to the family, the fire was due to a computer that west Bayfield Elementary School had loaned the kids for homework during the shut down.
Luckily, no one was injured.
However, the family is now appealing for any donations.
More details on how to help the family are posted here.
