The Grey Bruce Health Unit says a significant donation of personal protective equipment was received Friday.
It came from Chapman's Ice Cream in Markdale and Bruce Power in Tiverton.
The protective gear is being distributed to local high needs services, the Grey Bruce Health Unit says, including long-term care homes, retirement homes, group homes and other communal living locations.
The Health Unit also confirmed one new case of COVID-19.
A man in his 80s who resides in Owen Sound tested positive. He is in isolation.
There have been 45 laboratory confirmed positive cases of the virus in Grey Bruce to date. Ten of those people have already recovered.
