Charges have been laid, after a wheel came off a vehicle on Highway 11 northbound in Oro-Medonte.
Police say it happened on the highway near the 400 split shortly after 5 yesterday afternoon.
The wheel hit another vehicle heading southbound, but luckily no one was injured.
The investigation revealed that the female driver of the north bound vehicle recently had her winter tires changed
Police say she has been charged with operating an unsafe vehicle.
