Owen Sound is scaling back hours at the city's compost site.
In a statement, the city says as of April 27 Owen Sound's Leaf and Yard Waste Composting Facility on 28th Avenue East will only be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
The site will no longer be open on Sunday.
“Due to the effects of COVID-19, the city will be restricting access to the facility to 15 vehicles at one time,” a release from City Hall explains. “Residents are to exercise social distancing practices while onsite.”
The city reminds items that are acceptable to be disposed of at the compost site, include:
-Grass clippings and leaves
-Branches, logs and twigs
