The Prime Minister says more financial help is on the way for Canadians to pay their bills and keep their homes.
He made the announcement today during his daily update to Canadians, saying it will cover a variety of sectors, including essential workers, students and businesses.
Justin Trudeau says the government knows there’s more to do. For those who may not qualify for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB), he says you may still need a hand.
At the same time, the government is working to enhance the Canada Emergency Business Account and new supports for commercial rent for businesses that are hardest hit.

Specifically, four planeloads of N95 masks arrived this past weekend and Trudeau says 1.1 million of them and other equipment are ready for shipping to provinces and territories next week.
The new equipment includes millions of pairs of gloves and new protective gowns which are arriving from new domestic suppliers next Monday.
Over the weekend, Canada received new shipments of essential personal protective equipment. Workers are preparing these supplies for shipping so we can get them to the provinces and territories as quickly as possible. Details ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/GmJwJLOQYY
