Wahta First Nation has ordered all community businesses to close starting tonight at 6 pm.
The Wahta Mohawks Council made the announcement on their Facebook Page.
The move follows similar closures made due to Covid-19 yesterday by Rama First Nation.
The Wahta announcement reads in part “We are asking for your immediate cooperation to ensure your own health, the health of the community and in joining us in the effort to stem the pandemic that is upon us.”
The closures are to remain in effect until April 15th, when the move will be re-assessed.
