Owen Sound police have arrested a man for arson.
Police say just before midnight Tuesday night, (March 24) they were called to a house fire on the city's upper east side.
They reportedly arrived to find flames reaching as high as four feet inside the enclosed porch of a home.
Police were able to extinguish the fire and found a man at the scene who they say, had set the porch ablaze.
Police have charged a 64 year old Owen Sound man with Arson – Disregarding Human Life.
They say further investigation also linked the man to an unrelated incident earlier in the day and he was additionally charged with assault and uttering threats.
He has a bail hearing today.
