The OPP is cracking down on people and businesses ignoring new “social-distancing” rules in the province, after it declared a state of emergency.
The OPP said its officers will be charging people at gatherings of over 50 people, and/or operating non-essential businesses that have been asked to close.
People could face fines of $1,000 and businesses could face fines up to $500,000.
