UPDATE: As of March 24 Saugeen Shores has closed its outdoor equipment
Playground equipment in Saugeen Shores will remain open says CAO David Smith.
Smith says they’ve been in contact with Grey Bruce Public Health Unit and closing outdoor equipment has not been a recommendation.
Owen Sound, Meaford and South Bruce Peninsula decided to close their outdoor playground structures earlier this week, citing concerns the virus can survive on some surfaces outdoors in current weather conditions.
Smith asks people continue to practice good social distancing at all times and good hand hygiene during and after play.
