The mayor of the town of Blue Mountains is getting ready to return to work next week (Monday).
Mayor Alar Soever says he is feeling well and is ready to assume his duties subject to advice from his doctor.
Soever says he will be working collaboratively with council and the town’s senior management team to deal with the effect of the COVID-19 crisis on residents.
He adds that the first priority continues to be ensuring the continued operation of critical and essential municipal services.
Mayor Soever suffered a mild heart attack in January.
