Both Bruce and Grey Counties are increasing visitor restrictions at long-term care homes on advice of the province.
In separate statements, the counties say long-term care homes in the province have been strongly advised to allow only essential visitors until further notice.
“The ministry is identifying essential visitors as those who have a resident who is dying or very ill,” a release explains.
Essential visitors will need to meet the active COVID-19 screening protocols currently in place.
Grey County says it is currently working on a system to allow families to connect to with those residing in long-term care homes remotely, via phone or video.
