The 2020 ' Bowl for Kids Sake ' was staged Saturday at The Bowling Alley in Owen Sound.
The event is conducted on an annual basis, and serves as the largest fundraiser for Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Grey Bruce each year.
The preliminary estimate for the fundraiser on Saturday was close to $ 25,000 with more monies expected to be generated through the remainder of the month.
Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Grey Bruce Vice President Lloyd Mohr was very enthused with all aspects of the event on Saturday and very gratified to see a lot of hard work come together so successfully.
Mohr relates Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Grey Bruce are similar to many agencies in the region and their ultimate desire is to create a better environment for youngsters to grow and in turn create a better community overall.
The level of sponsorship for the event and program was very noticeable and Mohr sees that as businesses and the community at large recognizing that they are making a financial investment into the future betterment of their respective areas
