Bruce County has a new Chief Administrative Officer.
Bruce County Warden and Huron Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan says Sandra Datars Bere begins her new CAO duties on May 11th.
Acting CAO Bettyanne Cobean will remain on staff during the transition.
Twolan says Datars Bere worked in London as Managing Director of Housing, Social Services and the Dearness Home long term care facility.
Twolan says “The county is excited by the leadership qualities (Sandra) has demonstrated and look forward to what lies around the corner as we continue to take the road less travelled together, to enhance our life, our work and our communities.”
He points out they were looking for someone with her background to bring her expertise to the county and the long term care homes in particular.
In a prepared news release, Datars Bere is quoted as saying she is “committed to continue Bruce County’s determination to strive to deliver the highest level of service to our residents and business partners.”
