The OPP are tweeting about a close call in Tiverton during the snowstorm late last week.
They say an officer was just six feet away from her OPP SUV when it was hit by another vehicle.
It happened on Bruce Road 23 near Tiverton.
They say the officer was out of her vehicle checking on a driver who was in the ditch when the cruiser was hit.
Police say thankfully, no one was injured.
OPP say only a day before an unoccupied cruiser was hit by another vehicle in Lucan-Biddulph as well.
Police are urging drivers to slow down and drive with caution when passing emergency vehicles or tow trucks parked on the side of a highway with their lights on.
Grey Bruce was hit by a significant winter storm that began in earnest on Thursday night. Southern Bruce and Grey Counties were also under a blizzard warning for Friday, the day the cruiser was hit near Tiverton.
Many roads, including Bruce Road 23 were closed into the following day as snowfall amounts ranged from 20 cms in Wiarton to 70 cms in Goderich.
