Reduced load restrictions take effect on Grey County roads today.
The county says a five-tonne per axle limit is now in place to help extend the lifespan of road surfaces by minimizing damage from heavy vehicles.
Roads are at their most vulnerable in the spring, as frost leaves the ground.
Typically, Grey County load restrictions are lifted at the start of May. But, the duration is dependent on weather conditions.
