Saugeen Shores Police say impaired driving related offences continue to be a problem.
So far this year officers have investigated 10 incidents, resulting in six arrests and 11 impaired related charges.
Police say three of these incidents involved motor vehicle collisions.
Saugeen Shores Police Sergeant Andy Evans says the numbers are similar to last year and SSPS is increasing high visibility RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) programs; to deterrent to anyone thinking about getting behind the wheel and to catch impaired drivers.
Police say RIDE programs can happen anytime during the day, morning and nigh and so far this year 28 have been conducted.
All members of the Saugeen Shores Police Service are trained in Standard Field Sobriety Testing.
In addition there are two drug recognition officers, and eight breath technicians.
Police ask that if anyone believes a driver is under the influence to call 911.
