Bruce Power has awarded three Major Component Replacement (MCR) Program contracts to SNC-Lavalin.
According to SNC-Lavalin, the contracts are worth $34 million.
The services being provided by SNC-Lavalin will be fuel channel and feeder replacements for Unit 3 and Unit 4 as well as a seismic margin assessment of the site.
SNC-Lavalin will design the fuel assemblies and other components, they say that this work is underway and will end in 2023.
The feeder designs have also begun and are estimated to continue into 2022.
The seismic margin assessment will be conducted on Unit 3 and is now underway until May 2021.
Unit 4 will receive its assessment from June 2021 until February 2022.
