Another Bruce Power service provider has officially opened 3 offices in Port Elgin.
The name of the company is Williams Canada and President of the firm Kelly Powers says their job is to provide project control services for the refurbishment and life extension at Bruce Power.
He says services such as scheduling, risk management, estimating and cost analysis “to make sure that we provide the information for Bruce Power to manage this capital portfolio very smartly.”
President & CEO of Bruce Power, Mike Rencheck says it's always exciting when another company opens up shop, locally.
He says, “We have a lot of work to do over the next 30 years, 40 years and companies like this (Williams Canada) will really help us to evolve our business.”
Williams Canada is the 59th nuclear service company to locate in the region and Rencheck says it's a pleasant surprise to get so many to come to the area.
Rencheck says he expects a few more companies to move to the region in 2020 and then see the process level out as the work at Bruce Power gets down to business.
Williams Canada is located at 281 Goderich Street, across from McDonald's.
