After a highly successful and financially staggering existence, there will NOT be a 25th annual Jeff Preston Celebrity Golf Classic this summer at Saugeen Golf Club.
The tournament which started in the mid 1990's was operated by the Port Elgin Rotary Club and generated $ 1.5 million dollars for Muscular Dystrophy Research, a disease that afflicts Jeff Preston, a native of Port Elgin.
Kevin Carter, a long time tournament committee member spoke to Fred Wallace about the history of the Jeff Preston Celebrity Golf Classic and the end of it's successful run.
