OPP have released the name of a woman who died after being hit by a transport truck on December 23rd in Meaford.
In a press release put out by Grey Bruce OPP, they name the deceased as 66-year-old Edith Clark of Meaford.
They have said that it occurred when the truck was leaving a shopping plaza along Highway 26 east of Meaford.
OPP say the truck was turning right out of the parking lot when it struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was then taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Witnesses on scene reported to Bayshore Broadcasting that the truck then left the area.
OPP have not confirmed this but have said no charges are being pressed at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
