Grey Bruce OPP say there is no threat to public safety, but Southgate area residents can expect an elevated police presence in the area as the investigation into human remains found at Southgate Road 10, east of Highway 6 continues.
The Grey Bruce OPP Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services under the direction of Detective Inspector Scott Moore of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), continue to investigate human remains that were found on December 24 th.
The OPP Emergency Response Team has also been in the area conducting evidence searches.
Police say a post-mortem examination was conducted Monday (Dec 30th).
They have not released the name of the person who was found.
