West Grey Police have charged a 27 year old Durham man with trespassing at night and being drunk in public after an incident this weekend.
Police say on Saturday night, officers were called to a break and enter in progress at a home on William Street in Durham.
They say a woman reported someone was trying to kick the rear door of her home in, and according to West Grey Police, even the dispatchers could hear the loud thumping on the door while officers hurried to the house.
When police arrived, they say they found a man who was 'heavily intoxicated by alcohol.'
He was arrested and charged for Trespassing at night, attempting to commit an indictable offence, mischief under $5000 and for being intoxicated in a public place.
The 27 year old accused Durham man is scheduled to appear in court in Walkerton on February 26th.
