OSHaRE is holding its annual Christmas Dinner tonight (Dec 23rd).
Colleen Trask Seaman says there will be roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and homemade pies for desert, served by volunteer from the Kiwanis Club.
Trask Seaman says they're expecting between 120 and 130 people.
A “Leftovers” dinner will be served on Christmas Eve.
OSHaRE will be closed Christmas Day, as The Salvation Army hosts a Christmas Day dinner.
Trask Seaman says their 'Children's Area' will also officially open tonight which features a designated place for kids to play,”The kids are here for usually an hour and a half every night and we need something for them to be able to do, and so we wanted a special safe place for them in our location.”
OHSaRE recently moved to a new, much bigger location with an full kitchen in the former Salvation Army location on 946 3rd Ave East.
Trask Seaman says a grand opening of the new location will be held on January 3rd at 2 p.m.
OSHaRE serves hot meals Monday to Friday from 5p.m. to 6p.m.
There are lunch programs on Saturdays from 11a.m. to 12p.m.
