There has been a shuffle in duties at the Kincardine Fire Department.
Yesterday (Dec 12), the Municipality of Kincardine confirmed Deputy Fire Chief Ron Simmons is now the Acting Fire Chief while Fire Chief Kent Padfield takes an administrative leave of absence to allow for a fair and thorough independent workplace health & safety investigation regarding a October 24, 2019 incident in involving a fire vehicle.
In addition, Deputy Chief Mike Moore has also been placed on administrative leave pending the completion of the internal investigation.
The municipality would not provide anymore information on the matter due to the internal investigation.
