Home sales in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound remained strong in November as residential market activity rose nearly 10 per cent year-over-year.
The Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound reports 208 homes sold last month at an average price of $414,376 — over 20 per cent higher than November 2018.
Local realtors say the comprehensive year-to-date average price for the first 11 months of 2019 is now over $392,000 — 9.3 per cent higher than the same period in 2018.
There were 248 new homes listed in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound last month which is 17 per cent higher than November 2018, but RAGBOS notes overall supply remains near record lows.
Active listings at the end of November 2019 were 786, which beats out the same month in 2018 but remains lower than almost every other year on record.
The realtors association says the total value of all home sales last month was $86.2-million, a spike of over 32 per cent compared to November 2018.
The value of all types of properties sold was $105.8-million — a jump of 34.6 per cent year-over-year.
