Santa and his reindeer will be making their way down High Street tonight in Southampton.
The parade, hosted by the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce will begin at 7 p.m.
Following the parade, the merry festivities won't be over as students from G.C. Huston will be starting a tradition to Light up Fairy Lake.
Brenda Elliott who is assisting in the student led project says the students have really gotten into the project.
“It's going to give them a sense of community and a sense of accomplishment and it's going to be their baby to be responsible for,” says Elliott.
The students will start lighting up the bandshell and have plans to expand festive lighting throughout Fairy Lake.
“I'm very hopeful that within five years, we're (Fairy Lake) lit up beyond the Christmas season… so Fairy Lake can be used at night throughout the year.”
